Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the „Notice Concerning the Controller“ section of this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected, on the one hand, by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter into a contact form.

Other data is recorded automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. These are primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of the page view). The recording of this data takes place automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour. Where contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data will also be processed for contract offers, orders or other order enquiries.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to obtain free information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions concerning data protection.

Analysis tools and third-party tools

When visiting this website, your surfing behaviour may be statistically evaluated. This is primarily done using so-called analysis programs.

Detailed information on these analysis tools can be found in the following privacy policy.

2. Hosting

We host our website's content with the following provider:

External hosting

This website is hosted externally. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the hoster or hosters. This may primarily include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.

External hosting is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online services by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal equipment (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Our host(s) will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil their service obligations and will follow our instructions regarding this data.

We use the following hoster(s):

Droptop GmbH
Am Grashorn 8
14548 Schwielowsee OT Geltow

data processing processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a legally mandated data protection agreement that ensures the latter processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General notes and mandatory information

Privacy policy

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. via email communication) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Notice regarding the controller

The data controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Schloss Frankenberg GmbH
Schloss Frankenberg 1
97215 Weigenheim

Telephone: +49 9339 9714-0
Email: info@schloss-frankenberg.com

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or the like).

Retention period

Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to apply. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, the deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

General information on the legal basis of data processing on this website

Insofar as you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, provided that special categories of data are processed pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR. In the event of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, the data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. Insofar as you have consented to the storage of cookies or to the access to information in your terminal device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG). Consent may be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the fulfilment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR if it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The respective legal bases relevant in each individual case will be informed about in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Recipients of personal data

As part of our business activities, we work with various external bodies. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external bodies. We only pass on personal data to external bodies if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using data processors, we only pass on our customers' personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint controllership, an agreement on joint processing is concluded.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent that has already been given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

WHERE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING, WHICH INCLUDES PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint shall be without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Access, rectification and erasure

Under the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to the rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this or if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally require time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer require your personal data, but you need them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your and our interests must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

Where you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – with the exception of storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required for the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. for the shopping basket function) or for the optimisation of the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser to notify you about the placement of cookies and allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

If further cookies and services are used on this website, you can find this out from this privacy policy.

Consent with Borlabs Cookie

Our website uses the consent technology of Borlabs Cookie to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser or to the use of certain technologies and to document this in compliance with data protection laws. The provider of this technology is Borlabs GmbH, Hamburger Str. 11, 22083 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as Borlabs).

When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are saved. This data is not passed on to the provider of Borlabs Cookie.

The collected data is stored until you request us to delete it, delete the Borlabs cookie yourself, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.

The Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the consent required by law for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Server request time
  • IP address

These data are not combined with other data sources.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free display and optimization of their website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent may be revoked at any time.

The data you entered in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We will not pass on these data without your consent.

The data you sent to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Analytics tools and advertising

Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies or carry out independent analyses. It merely serves to manage and deploy the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may also be transmitted to Google's parent company in the United States.

The use of the Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and straightforward integration and administration of various tools on their website. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal equipment (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

The company is certified under the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA designed to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when processing data in the USA. Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In the process, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is assigned to the user's respective terminal device. No assignment to a user ID takes place.

Furthermore, Google Analytics allows us to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. In addition, Google Analytics uses various modelling approaches to supplement the collected datasets and employs machine learning technologies in data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The consent may be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://business.safety.google/adscontrollerterms/sccs/.

You can obtain further information on this from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

IP anonymisation

Google Analytics IP anonymisation is enabled. This means your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the US. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.

Browser extension

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

More information on the handling of user data by Google Analytics can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising programme of Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads allows us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters specific search terms into Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available on Google (e.g., location data and interests) (audience targeting). As website operators, we can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analysing which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements resulted in corresponding clicks.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The consent may be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://business.safety.google/controllerterms/.

The company is certified under the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA designed to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when processing data in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. You can obtain further information on this from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses the features of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who interact with our online offering to specific target audiences in order to subsequently display interest-based advertising to them within the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked with Google's cross-device functions. In this way, interest-based, personalised advertising messages that have been adapted to you on one terminal device (e.g. mobile phone) based on your previous usage and surfing behaviour can also be displayed on another of your terminal devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can opt out of personalised advertising at the following link: https://adssettings.google.com/anonymous?hl=de.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The consent may be revoked at any time.

Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

The company is certified under the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF). Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. You can obtain further information on this from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Using Google conversion tracking, Google and we can recognise whether the user has carried out certain actions. For example, this allows us to evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who have clicked on our ads and what actions they have carried out. We receive no information that allows us to personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The consent may be revoked at any time.

More information on Google conversion tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. You can obtain further information on this from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

This website uses the visitor action pixel from Meta for conversion measurement. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Dublin, D04 X2K5, Ireland. However, according to Meta, the collected data is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Meta ad. As a result, the effectiveness of Meta ads can be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures can be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, meaning that a connection to the respective user profile on Facebook or Instagram is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Meta Data Policy (https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/) can be used. This allows Meta to enable the placing of advertisements on Facebook or Instagram pages and other advertising channels. We, as the page operator, cannot influence this use of the data.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The consent may be revoked at any time.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website using the tool described here and forwarded to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road Dublin 4, Dublin, D04 X2K5, Ireland are joint controllers for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). This joint responsibility is exclusively restricted to the collection of the data and its transmission to Meta. The processing carried out by Meta after the transmission does not form part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent upon us jointly have been set out in a joint controller agreement. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Under this agreement, we are responsible for providing the data protection information when using the Meta tool and for implementing the tool securely in compliance with data protection laws on our website. Meta is responsible for the data security of Meta products. Data subject rights (e.g. requests for access) regarding the data processed on Facebook or Instagram can be exercised directly with Meta. If you assert your data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Meta.

If you do not have an account with Facebook or Instagram, you can opt out of Meta's usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

The company is certified under the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA designed to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when processing data in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. 6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or it is collected only on a voluntary basis. We use newsletter service providers, which are described below, to process the newsletters.

Brevo

This website uses Brevo for sending newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.

Brevo is a service which can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter are stored on the servers of Sendinblue GmbH in Germany.

Data analysis by Brevo

Using Brevo, we are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns. For example, this allows us to see whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked particularly often.

Furthermore, we can see whether certain predefined actions were carried out after opening/clicking (conversion rate). For example, this allows us to see whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.

Brevo also allows us to segment („cluster“) newsletter recipients into various categories. For example, recipients can be grouped by age, gender or place of residence. This makes it possible to tailor the newsletters more effectively to the respective target audiences.

If you do not want analysis by Brevo, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

Detailed information regarding the functions of Brevo can be found at the following link: https://www.brevo.com/de/newsletter-software/.

Legal basis

Data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time. The lawfulness of any data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Retention period

The data you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you have cancelled your subscription. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

Following your removal from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist, provided this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used solely for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). There is no time limit on the storage in the blacklist. You may object to the storage, provided your interests override our legitimate interest.

Processing customer and contract data

We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content design and modification of our contractual relationships. We only collect, process and use personal data regarding the use of this website (usage data) to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill them for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any statutory retention periods that may apply. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Handling applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, post or via the online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data will take place in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

When you submit an application to us, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (establishment of an employment relationship), Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (general initiation of a contract) and – if you have given your consent – Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent may be revoked at any time. Within our company, your personal data will be disclosed exclusively to persons involved in the processing of your application.

If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

As part of the application process, we may also conduct an online search regarding your person. This primarily includes Google searches, LinkedIn and Xing. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in gaining an overall impression of publicly available information about you.

Data retention period

Should we be unable to offer you a position, should you decline a job offer or should you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data submitted by you on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Storage serves in particular for evidentiary purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will not take place until the purpose for further storage ceases to apply.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent erasure.
