The outer bailey is an elongated gate and bar structure surrounded by two round towers and was almost dilapidated. After a particularly complex restoration, the facade and the rooms shine again. Friendly, bright and somewhat more modernly equipped, they now offer a history of timeless elegance. Depending on the orientation, the restored superior room, which can be booked as a family room, looks out over the castle and the office building or over the forests behind the castle. The rooms are equipped with a handicapped-accessible, walk-in shower and are therefore perfect for people with limited gait. An elevator takes you effortlessly to the first floor.

Classic Franconian cuisine is served in the Amtshaus for locals and day-trippers. In winter 2022, the fine dining restaurant, which offers a mixture of French and Franconian cuisine in the representative castle halls, was inaugurated.
